Italian Street Food Festival 2024: the largest Italian street food festival in Germany returns to Berlin the weekend of June 8-9

This year featuring also an indoor Italian Night Party on Saturday evening

Arrosticini, cuoppo di pesce, sweet and savory maritozzi, supplì, octopus burgers, pistachio lasagna, panzerotti, arancini, Neapolitan pizza, focaccia with porchetta, olive all’ascolana, pucce, Sicilian cannoli, tiramisù, brioche, gelato... These and many other Italian street food specialties, from the north to the south, can be tasted at the Italian Street Food Festival 2024. The event will be held for the sixth time at Osthafen Berlin (Alt Stralau 1-2) on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, from 11 am to 10 pm. In 2023, 22 Italian street food stands participated, and over 11,500 guests attended, making the event the largest Italian street food festival in Germany. Admission is €5 (free for children and teenagers under 16), and tickets can already be purchased at this link.

The big news for this year is the Italian Night Party on the evening of June 8 with a concert by Giancane and a DJ set by Borghetta Stile (tickets are €23, which includes admission to the two days of the festival, and can be purchased at this link).

Additionally, True Italian is organizing a photography contest on Instagram: the winner, along with another person, will get to stay for two nights in a beautiful hotel in Italy.

Italian Street Food Festival 2024: Culinary Highlights

The event features 22 stands and food trucks, including some of the most famous ambassadors of Italian cuisine in Berlin such as Kuchen von Gaia, Focacceria San Francesco, Cicala Caffetteria Italiana, Isola Italia, Spaccanapoli Nr. 12. Additionally, some interesting new Italian venues that opened in Berlin in the past year will be participating with a stand: Spina, offering sweet and savory maritozzi, Soulty Food Club, providing cuoppo di pesce, and Modì - Salumeria & Bistrot with their olive ascolane and fried cod filets. Italian Street Food Festival 2024: More than just street food

The event will feature entertainment for both adults and children throughout the day: Mago Riccardo with face painting and balloon twisting, a table football, Italian karaoke in the afternoon, live performances by Crucchi Gang and Currao, and a DJ set by the Roman DJ collective Borghetta Stile. Moreover, on the evening of Saturday, June 8, starting at 10 pm at the beautiful Club Ost (the indoor part of Osthafen), there will be an Italian Night Party with a concert by Giancane (Roman singer known for the sound truck of Zerocalcare series) followed by a DJ set by Borghetta Stile.

Italian Street Food Festival 2024: Organizers and Partners

The Italian Street Food Festival has been organized annually since 2018 by Berlin Italian Communication as part of the True Italian project, which aims to preserve and support authentic Italian cuisine through a series of initiatives. The network currently includes over 300 Italian restaurants, pizzerias, and wine bars in Germany, whose products, ingredients, dishes, and philosophy reflect true Italian culinary culture. Most of these are located in Berlin, where the network was founded in 2015. Partners of the Italian Street Food Festival 2024 are Sarti, Limoncello di Capri and Sambuca Molinari.

A Summer Full of Italian Festivals

The Italian Street Food Festival kicks off the True Italian 2024 festival season in Berlin. Scheduled for July is the third edition of the True Italian Pizza Street Festival, an event dedicated to pizza in its various forms, which will be held on July 20-21 and will involve some of the best pizzerias in Berlin. Following this, on August 17-18, the Pistachio Street Food Festival returns to Berlin, dedicated to pistachio in all its forms and open to international exhibitors. Both events will be held at Jules B-Part in Gleisdreieck Park.
