Italian Street Food Festival 2026: Germany’s largest Italian street food festival returns to Berlin on 6 and 7 June

The event at Osthafen will close the first Italian Week, promoted by the Italian Embassy in Berlin. The programme includes regional street food, live music, singer Martina Attili, DJ sets and Viani as partner

On 6 and 7 June 2026, Osthafen Berlin will once again turn into a large open-air Italian village. The Italian Street Food Festival, organised by Berlin Italian Communication as part of the True Italian project, will bring two days of regional Italian street food, music and conviviality to the German capital.

The 2026 edition has a special significance: the festival is part of the official programme of the first Italian Week, promoted by the Italian Embassy in Berlin and taking place from 28 May to 7 June 2026. The Italian Street Food Festival will be the closing event of the week: an open, public-oriented celebration that brings Italy out of the institutional setting and into a direct, lively and accessible dimension.

After a week of events dedicated to Italian culture, the festival becomes the moment in which Italy is told through one of its most recognisable languages: food. At the same time, the 2026 edition will be bigger and more dynamic, with more food stands, more music and more entertainment for the public.

This year, the festival will take place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June, from 11 am to 10 pm, at Osthafen Berlin, Alt Stralau 1-2, 10245 Berlin. Arrosticini, panzerotti, fresh pasta, vegan parmigiana, fregola, polenta, pizza and pinsa, supplì, octopus burgers, arancini, porchetta, Sicilian cannoli, tiramisù and gelato are just some of the specialities visitors will be able to try during the event.

In 2025, 21 Italian street food stands took part and more than 10,000 visitors attended, making the event the largest festival dedicated to Italian street food in Germany.

Admission costs €6 (it's free under 16) and contains a praline from Viani as welcome present. Tickets are already available via this link.

Italian Street Food Festival 2026: culinary highlights

More than just a food event, the festival is a cultural journey through Italy. From north to south, every dish represents a tradition, a family and a story waiting to be told. In one single place, the many souls of regional Italian cuisine come together in a combination that is rarely found in one location.

From Sicilian arancini and cannoli to panzerotti from Apulia, pizza from Naples, pinsa and porchetta from Rome, arrosticini from Abruzzo, as well as polenta and piadine from Northern Italy. Sardinia will also be well represented this year with two new specialities at the festival: fregola, a traditional Sardinian pasta made from durum wheat semolina in small toasted pearls, and culurgiones, filled pasta dumplings usually stuffed with potatoes, pecorino cheese and mint.

Twenty participants, including food trucks and street food stands, have already been confirmed for the event. Among them are some of the best-known ambassadors of Italian street food in Berlin, such as Mani in Pasta, Kuchen von Gaia, Focacceria San Francesco, Mercurio and Sanpietrino. New participants include Orlando and What the Hell is a Culurgiones, as well as Bella Ciao, a new restaurant in Friedrichshain that at the event will offer only vegan specialties, among them vegan parmigiana and Italian vegan cheese.

Viani confirmed again as partner

Viani will once again be a partner of the Italian Street Food Festival in 2026. The collaboration confirms the festival’s connection with one of the best-known players in the distribution and promotion of high-quality Italian food products in Germany.

Viani’s presence strengthens the identity of the event: street food, conviviality and a strong focus on the quality of Italian ingredients and products.

Not only street food: music and entertainment

Alongside the food offer, the 2026 edition will further expand its music programme.

One of the highlights will be the concert by Martina Attili, an Italian singer-songwriter who became known to a wider audience through her participation in X Factor Italy and is recognised for her intense, personal and cross-generational songwriting. Her performance will be one of the central moments of the live programme.

In addition, other Italian artists based in Berlin will perform, creating a bridge between the Italian music scene and the German capital. The programme will also include karaoke, open to all visitors.

The full programme for both days:

11:00 am – 12:30 pm: DJ Zeus – Italian hits of all time

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Live music: The Limoncellos on Saturday, The Jakkle Band on Sunday

4:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Italian karaoke

6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Performance by Italian singer Martina Attili

7:30 pm – 10:00 pm: DJ set: Dario Peanut Butter & Lorenzo Rossi on Saturday, Sony Music on Sunday

Every year, our karaoke brings out plenty of emotions.
