Pistachio Street Food Festival 2026: For the sixth year running, Germany's first pistachio festival returns to Berlin!
Street food from around the world, gourmet specialty products, live cooking shows, and this year even free dance workshops!

As we have for the past five years, we're looking forward to the highlight of the summer: the only festival nationwide in Germany dedicated entirely to the pistachio. At the Pistachio Street Food Festival, everything revolves around the little green nut. The pistachio isn't just a beloved delicacy in Italy — it's used in countless ways in kitchens all over the world. That's why, once again this year, numerous international food stands will set up at Jules B-Part in the Park am Gleisdreieck from Saturday, August 29th to Sunday, August 30th, each day from 12 noon to 10 pm.
Pistachio guacamole, pistachio-stuffed vine leaves, Peking duck bao with pistachio cream, a cold coffee-pistachio cream, and for a sweet finish, a strawberry cup with chocolate and pistachios — if your appetite's already piqued, get ready to enjoy these and many more extraordinary specialties.
With over 6,000 visitors, the 2025 festival was a huge success, and now it's entering its sixth edition: True Italian's goal this year is once again to celebrate the beloved "green gold" while showcasing the best Italian and international street food specialties.
This year with a new program!
But it's not just about food: this year there'll be a very special lineup of free dance workshops! If you'd rather feast first, you can then let loose completely with our dance program: with D!s World, the dance school founded by Detlef Soost, visitors won't just have extra fun — they'll also learn a variety of dance styles. From hip hop to house dance to '90s dance, there's something here for everyone! (Scroll down to read the full program)
Admission costs €5, while children and teenagers under 16, as well as anyone dressed entirely in green, get in for free. With admission, you immediately receive a pistachio praline and a €5 voucher from Viani.
Tickets are already available at Eventbrite.
From Bronte to Tokyo: many international pistachio specialties will be on offer!
It'll be an extraordinary journey through the cuisines and cultures of different countries: the festival's goal is to celebrate not only Italian but also international cuisine. The pistachio is an incredibly versatile ingredient that can be used in the kitchen in countless ways — for creams, pestos, on its own or chopped, in both sweet and savory recipes.
The 26 participating stands come from Italy, Mexico, Turkey, China, Argentina, and Spain (scroll down to read the full list). Among the dishes on offer, you'll find both classic pistachio recipes and dishes created specially for the event that can only be tasted at the festival.
The Green Nut on Trend
Pistachios are experiencing a real boom — from the field to the plate. In Italy and Germany, the hype around the green nut has truly exploded in recent years.
Thanks to Sicily, Italy still ranks among the world's 20 largest pistachio producers: the country harvests around 4,000 tons per year, almost exclusively from the legendary growing regions around Bronte and Raffadali. And it keeps climbing — the area devoted to organic pistachios alone grew by over 30% annually between 2020 and 2024, driven by demand for certified quality and the pistachio's culinary triumph.
In Germany, the rush for the green nut is even more pronounced: retail sales of pistachio products climbed from around 170 million euros (2021) to about 374 million euros — a jump of 120% in just four years, with last year alone seeing a 48% increase. More than one in two German households has by now reached for a pistachio product. The drivers: the trend toward healthy snacks and a hunger for premium ingredients.
It's also become a fixture on menus — whether in desserts, on cheese, or even on pizza. No wonder, since the little green powerhouse packs a health punch too: with about 16 g of protein per 100 g, it's one of the most protein-rich nuts around, and it also delivers fiber, unsaturated fats, vitamins B6 and E, and phosphorus. Its low glycemic index keeps blood sugar stable, antioxidants protect cells and have an anti-inflammatory effect — and a small amount of melatonin is even said to help with falling asleep.
