Pistachio Street Food Festival 2026: Street Food meets Street Dance in Berlin
Germany's only festival dedicated to pistachios returns for its sixth edition on August 29 and 30 – with 26 international food stands and, for the first time, free street dance workshops by D!s Dance School.

Pistachio guacamole, pistachio-stuffed vine leaves, Peking duck bao with pistachio cream, pasta with pistachio pesto, cold coffee with pistachio cream and strawberry cups with chocolate and pistachios: on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, the Pistachio Street Food Festival returns to Jules B-Part at Park am Gleisdreieck for its sixth edition.
From 12 noon to 10 pm on both days, 26 food stands from Italy, Mexico, Turkey, China, Argentina and Spain will show just how versatile pistachios can be, with both traditional recipes and dishes created especially for the festival.
And this year, street food meets street dance.
New in 2026: free dance workshops with D!s Dance School
For the first time, the Pistachio Street Food Festival is combining international street food with a full programme of free dance workshops in collaboration with D!s Dance School, the Berlin dance school connected to the D!s Dance Club network founded by choreographer and TV personality Detlef Soost.
Throughout both festival days, visitors will be able to join workshops covering styles including Hip Hop, House Dance, Reggaeton, Choreography, 90s Dance and Commercial.
The workshops are open to festival visitors and included in the admission price.
From pistachio street food to street dance, the idea behind this year's programme is to turn the festival into a place not only for tasting food from different cultures, but also for moving, meeting and celebrating together.
26 stands and pistachio specialties from around the world
Pistachios may be closely associated with Italian food culture, but their culinary possibilities go far beyond it.
At the festival, visitors can travel through different cuisines without leaving Gleisdreieck: from Peking duck bao with pistachio cream to pistachio guacamole, from Mediterranean dishes and pistachio-filled vine leaves to Italian pasta, focaccia, crêpes, pastries and desserts.
The 26 participating stands represent cuisines from Italy, Mexico, Turkey, China, Argentina and Spain. Alongside classics, several vendors will serve recipes developed specifically for the Pistachio Street Food Festival.
More than 6,000 people attended the festival in 2025.

Germany has gone pistachio crazy
The festival comes at a time when pistachios are enjoying unprecedented popularity in Germany.
According to YouGov Shopper data published in February 2026, sales of pistachio products in German food retail more than doubled within four years: from around €170 million in 2021 to €374 million in 2025 – an increase of 120%.
The trend accelerated particularly strongly in the past year: sales rose by 48% in 2025 alone, and 53% of German households bought at least one pistachio product during the year.
The boom extends from pistachios as a classic snack to ice cream, desserts, spreads and chocolate products, with the recent popularity of pistachio-filled Dubai-style chocolate giving the trend an additional boost.
At the Pistachio Street Food Festival, the focus is instead on what has been at the heart of the event since its first edition: discovering how one ingredient can connect very different culinary traditions.
