Latin Food & Dance Festival 2026: Press Launch at the Embassy of Mexico in Berlin
The Embassy of Mexico in Berlin opens its doors to the Latin Food & Dance Festival: On July 20 at 5:30 PM, we will officially present the event there!

Following the first announcement of the Latin Food & Dance Festival 2026, the full festival programme will now be officially unveiled. On Monday, July 20, at 5:30 PM, Berlin Italian Communication invites members of the press to a press conference at the Embassy of Mexico (Klingelhöferstraße 3, 10785 Berlin). During the event, the festival will be officially presented ahead of its debut on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Jules B-Part am Gleisdreieck.
The press event is made possible with the kind support of the Embassy of Mexico in Berlin and the Sociedad Mexicana Alemana Berlín e.V.. Their involvement gives the festival a unique cultural setting even before its debut: while Mexico takes centre stage as the host of the press launch, the festival itself celebrates the rich culinary, musical, and cultural diversity of the entire Latin American continent.
The Latin Food & Dance Festival will take place on July 25 and 26, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on both days at Jules B-Part am Gleisdreieck. Visitors can look forward to a weekend of Latin American street food, free dance workshops, music, family activities, and cultural encounters. Admission is €6, while children under 16 can enter free of charge. Tickets are already available online.

A special focus lies on the connection between food and dance. Alongside specialties from various Latin American countries, the festival offers an extensive dance programme in collaboration with the Berlin dance school La Mambita. From Argentine Tango, Salsa Cubana, and Bachata to Kizomba, Cha Cha Chá, Mambo, and Latin American Vibes sessions with Cumbia, Reggaeton, Salsa, and Bachata, visitors can learn new steps on both days and try them out directly on the dance floor. Each festival day will end with a Cumbia & Reggaeton Open-Air Party.
The festival also offers a dedicated cultural programme for families. The Sociedad Mexicana Alemana Berlin e.V. will host a lovingly supervised children’s area with creative workshops, games, and interactive activities inspired by Mexican culture. The non-profit association has been promoting cultural exchange between Mexico and Germany for many years, introducing children and families to the diversity of Mexican traditions in a playful way.

On Sunday, July 26, the Ambassador of Mexico will also visit the festival and deliver a short address at 4:00 PM.
Latin Food & Dance Festival 2026: Culinary Highlights
From crispy empanadas and fresh ceviche to churros and arepas: the Latin Food & Dance Festival brings the culinary diversity of Latin America to Berlin. Visitors can look forward to handmade Argentinian empanadas, spicy choripanes, Venezuelan arepas with various fillings, Peruvian ceviche, and creative plantain burgers.
Highlights also include Brazilian Pão de Queijo, Ecuadorian Llapingachos with spicy sauce, grilled meat and chorizo skewers, as well as Venezuelan hot dogs served with a selection of homemade sauces. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to handmade alfajores, churros, and tropical ice cream and slush creations with mango, passion fruit, blueberry, or cherry.
Particularly exciting are the reinterpretations of classic dishes: for example, an Argentinian pizzaiolo will serve fried empanadas that sit somewhere between an Argentinian empanada and a Neapolitan pizza fritta. The offer is rounded off by tacos, quesadillas, nachos, Jollof specialties, and many other street food creations that reflect the cultural connections between Latin America, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world.
A special exhibition
As part of the press event on July 20, guests will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “From a Dimension Called Mexico” at the Embassy of Mexico. Presented in Europe for the first time, the exhibition features works by more than 40 Mexican creatives from the fields of design, fashion, and art, adding an insight into contemporary Mexican culture to the press launch.
