True Italian Pizza Week turns ten: more than 80 pizzerias come together in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg
From 15 to 25 October, the tenth edition of True Italian Pizza Week will take place simultaneously in the three German cities. At each pizzeria, guests can choose one of two signature pizzas and enjoy it with a Spritz for €18. Munich returns to the event for the first time since 2023.

Berlin, October 2026 – Germany loves pizza. So much so that, according to a recent YouGov survey, only 5% of German adults say they do not eat it, while 66% prefer a thin crust.
From 15 to 25 October 2026, this passion will take on a distinctly Italian flavour: True Italian Pizza Week celebrates its tenth edition and, for the first time in its new format, will take place simultaneously in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg.
Almost 90 pizzerias have already signed up: currently 45 in Berlin, 22 in Munich and 22 in Hamburg, with further registrations still possible.
The concept will be the same in all three cities: each pizzeria will create two signature pizzas especially for the event. Throughout Pizza Week, guests will be able to choose one of the two and pair it with an Aperol Spritz or a non-alcoholic Crodino Spritz for a total price of €18.
No tickets or registration are required: simply visit one of the participating venues and order the Pizza Week menu.

Pizza and Spritz for €18
While pizza has long become an integral part of German eating habits, dining out has become noticeably more expensive.
A Spritz in major German cities now often costs between €7 and €9, while a contemporary pizza made with carefully selected ingredients can easily cost €15 or more.
The True Italian Pizza Week offer is therefore designed to make the experience particularly accessible: a pizza created especially for the event together with an Aperol Spritz for €18.
The aim, however, is not to offer “low-cost” pizza. On the contrary, the event is intended to encourage people to discover pizzerias, pizzaioli and recipes they might not otherwise have tried, thanks to a fixed price available at all participating venues.

180 pizzas to discover
Each participating venue will present two different recipes. With almost 90 pizzerias involved, visitors will therefore be able to choose from nearly 180 pizzas created especially for the occasion over the eleven days of the event.
There is no recipe imposed by the organisers: each pizzaiolo is free to interpret their own idea of pizza through different doughs, ingredients and techniques.
Among the creations featured in the 2026 edition, numerous pizzerias will also use Bimi® broccoli, a partner of the event, incorporating it into their recipes in a variety of ways.
Another event partner is Le 5 Stagioni, which will provide its professional flours to many of the participating pizzerias.
From Berlin to Munich and Hamburg
In Berlin, where Pizza Week was born, 45 pizzerias are currently taking part, including Malafemmena, Prometeo, Lovebirds, Spaccanapoli Nr. 12 and Capvin.
In Munich, 22 venues have already joined the event, including BONO, Capri Restaurant, Punto Gola and Grazia Pizza Napoletana. For the Bavarian capital, this marks a return: the last Pizza Week in the city took place in 2023.
In Hamburg, 22 pizzerias are currently confirmed, including Tazzi, Pizza Puro, Farina di Nonna and Pizzamacher.
The final lists, together with the two pizzas offered by each venue and maps of the three cities, will soon be available on the True Italian website.

Ten editions of Pizza Week
The first True Italian Pizza Week took place in Berlin in 2017, involving 23 pizzerias.
Since then, the project has grown considerably. In 2025, in Berlin alone, 41 pizzerias sold more than 6,000 Pizza Week menus. In Hamburg, 28 pizzerias took part in the same year, selling around 1,000 menus.
Over the course of its history, the format has also reached hundreds of pizzerias across different German cities: in 2023, in addition to the 36 pizzerias in Berlin, 256 venues elsewhere in Germany took part.
The tenth edition now marks a new chapter: one event, taking place at the same time and with the same format, in three of Germany’s major cities.

Under the patronage of the City of Naples
In 2026, True Italian Pizza Week once again takes place under the patronage of the City of Naples, a city that is synonymous with pizza culture around the world.
The event is organised by Berlin Italian Communication as part of the True Italian project, created to promote and showcase Italian food culture in Germany.
The event partners are Aperol, Crodino, Bimi® Broccoli and Le 5 Stagioni.
